Feast For The Eyes
Forgot to show everyone what my mom got me for Xmas (about 3 weeks ago)...yes, it's exactly what you think it is - a miniature dim sum cart (ya we're silly like that xD)!! This gift has a special meaning 'cause whenever I go for tea with my parents, I would mention how much I miss the old-school dim sum carts with the lil signs in front that tells you what's available. They don't have that here & I think they're on the verge of existence in HK too. =\ So that's why when me & my mom saw this together at P-Mall, she knew she had to get it for me. And I'm glad she did. =D

At Long Last
Everybody, take a (huge) sigh of relief!! xD
FINALLY, just when you thought the X-Men were here to stay, I've made a new blog layout featuring, once again, Ayu. For those who are uninformed, it's the cover of her latest single Together When..., which incidentally was the song I had on continuous replay while working on this (for about 2 hours xP). I decided to just name this layout "Together" for a better ring & I guess 'cause it sounds more heartwarming for the holiday season...?? Haha anyway, I hope you like this layout as much as I enjoyed working on it; I must say I'm quite pleased with the results, it's possibly my favourite layout alongside the DAI one...
This doesn't mean I'll update more frequently though. I've got lots to say but just too lazy (can you tell??) to sit down & type...xP
P.S. The last layout was by far the longest one this blog has seen, going back from all the way in May 2006 for a (whopping) total of 18 months. Thank you mutants, you did good. xD
EDIT: Added a music player that somehow works on Firefox but not IE...gurrrrr. Too annoyed to fix it right now (I might not, ever =P), so just use Firefox if you wanna listen to the songs...
Oh & here's the full-sized version of the picture above...just too damn gorgeous not to post it. *o*

Big Spender
Now that getting a new cellphone is
out of the way, here's a list of things I need to buy watch in the upcoming holiday season...
Wii games:
- Super Mario Galaxy
- Rayman Raving Rabbids 2
- Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles
- Trauma Center: New Blood
(The first three all come out next week...oi. I'm not even half done GH3!!)
CDs/DVDs:
- Mika Life in Cartoon Motion
- Mika Live in Cartoon Motion
- Justin Timberlake FutureSex/LoveShow Live from Madison Square Garden
- Spice Girls Greatest Hits Special Edition (What?? xD I've always been a huge fan, & I'm going to see them in February!!)
- Ayu GUILTY
Clothes:
- Gap merino wool striped sweater vest in charcoal
- Lacoste Plastic Polo in eclipse (Ya this most likely won't happen, since I'm not ready to shell out 200 bucks for a shirt...still, I can dream =P)
EDIT: Well I already got Mick to get me Rayman as my (VERY belated) b-day present even before this post was published, lol. So one down!! And I guess I should wait till the Wii Zapper's released before getting RE...
Had to make some major changes to the list, since now Rayman has received shitty reviews & the Wii Zapper turned out to be quite useless. Also added a few more music-related items...

Dial Up
So I really really want a new phone. In a month it'll be 3 years for my good ol' Samsung (which was preceeded by another 3 years with ANOTHER Samsung) & aside from that one drop on asphalt, it's almost as good as new...at least on the outside. The reception is now terrible (I can't get into change rooms without being cut off) & after one day the battery dies down to one bar (in fact I don't recall seeing two bars in a LONG time, lol). Having said that though, there are quite a few things I like about it & I wish I could just get a newer, better looking shell for it & keep all the functions. =P But in our now ADD-generation where resources are plenty, it seems like all phones must be able to do more, WAY more, than just making calls. So here comes a phone with a 5.0MP camera that also doubles as a compact & oh, if you press a button at the side, it'll take you to a galaxy far, far away. Lol alright so that was a bit of a stretch, but I won't be surprised if that happened in the near future (I mean, there ARE already phones that have mirror-like surfaces)...
What I'm saying is, for me, I don't need all those bells & whistles. I JUST WANT A PHONE. A sturdy, reliable, user-friendly phone that I can use to call (or
not =P) people whenever & wherever I want. Sure, a camera is a nice addition, but I won't sweat it if I missed a shot of a beautiful sunset (I'm not crazy about the quality, anyway). But the one thing I definitely don't need is an mp3 player. I have my own that works just fine, thank you very much, & I'd rather use my cellphone battery to make phone calls & send text messages. And again, I'm not dying over the quality of the embedded music players out there. It seems though that every mid-end to high-end phones now have both, so I have no way of cutting costs by avoiding phones with such features. And to get a nice looking phone with a solid build (ie. no plastic) probably means it's higher end which translates to a souped up camera and/or mp3 player. So therein lies in the dilemma for me, & the reason why I STILL haven't found the perfect phone. Right now sitting at the top of my list is the Sony Ericsson T650, which is the closest to what I want style- & function-wise. The only problem is that it's about 100 bucks over my budget, so I'll either keep looking for a similar model with a lower price tag or just wait till the price drops. I would've stuck with Samsung just 'cause I love their user interface but man are their new phones ugly...xD I'll most likely go give Pacific a visit in the coming weeks to see what's really out there & hopefully find a suitable phone that I can afford. I totally see myself ending up with the T650 though...xP

Rumble Fish
Sometimes, it really feels like I'm better off talking to a wall - at least that way I'm sure that my intended audience is staying put & "listening" to what I have to say. I understand that everyone is busy with their own lives, I'm no different, but lately I can't help but feel no one truly pays attention to me anymore. Maybe it's my own doing...every time I get ignored in the ever slightest way I no longer feel the urge to share. I just don't want to be bothersome, I guess...whatever it is, nowadays I just can't bring myself to discuss anything serious with anybody. I wonder if anyone's noticed. Probably not...
So here I am, talking to myself...or to whoever still reads this blog. I forgot how therapeutic it could be to just let out my thoughts & possibly have some random strangers read them, lol. I'd update more often but it seems that due to the lack of practice, I have trouble writing as eloquently as I used to. My sentence structure is all off & I can't even pun anymore...xP
