The silence is deafening
I hear my sinking heart
I'm afraid to sleep
Scared of seeing what could've been
But shouldn't have been

Just one of those nights where I let my weak self take over.

...I almost cried watching
this. xD
(The video is about 6 minutes long, so it might take a while to load...but trust me, it's worth the wait!!)
I was most excited when I saw that Cooking Mama too is making its transfer onto the Wii!! And it looks even more elaborate than the original (well, from that 3 seconds of it, lol)...*o* Why is November so far away...<sigh>
52 more days!!

After much careful consideration, I have decided to get the
Wii over the PS3. Reasons being...
i) It's much cheaper. For the price of a PS3 (basic version), I can get TWO Wii's.
ii) Not only is the Wii cheaper, it comes with the Wii-mote, the Nunchuk (lol I still don't get the names) AND Wii Sports. You're all set!!
iii) Significantly more games will launch with the Wii than with the PS3. Trauma Center 2 alone is worth buying the Wii for. xP
iv) Wii has built-in wireless connection, & it's free to play games online. You don't have to pay for an adaptor OR a monthly free to get online.
And most importantly...
v) Wii is truly revolutionary in terms of gameplay. The PS3, on the other hand, is just an upgrade of the PS2. PS3 is merely providing better graphics, which isn't even noticeable if you don't own a HDTV (which I don't). As for the Wii, it's interactive gameplay taken literally.
I've always been a Sony fan, & the PS3 was my most wanted next gen game console for a while. That is until I got the Nintendo DS & my love for Nintendo was completely restored (wasn't really big on the N64 or the GameCube...). If the touchscreen is already providing so much more in terms of interactive gameplay, I can't imagine what the Wii-mote could do (not to mention the DS can connect wirelessly to the Wii). Yes, a Blu-ray disc player is appealing, but who needs one when Blu-ray discs are yet to be released mainstream?? And what exactly am I supposed to do with the 20GB/60GB harddrive??
On top of that, the Wii is smaller, sleeker, the games are (projected to be) cheaper, has a slot for SD cards to increase memory, & can display photos. Why on Earth would I get the PS3 instead??
...that's not saying I won't get the PS3. =P Just not now. Maybe later when it gets cheaper/Blu-ray discs are more popular/it comes out with a new, slimmer version (this one is just WAY too chunky). For now, the Wii will more than suffice. CAN'T WAIT TILL NOVEMBER 19!!

B Here, B There, B Everywhere
I can now die happy.
So, last night, along with what seemed like half of Toronto, I attended Beyonce's free concert at Dundas Square. When I heard about it a couple of weeks ago, I was first skeptical; "A free concert?? FOR BEST BUY??" I thought it was jokes. And even when I realized it was for real, I was debating whether I should go or not. Main reason being that her new album sucks isn't so good & I was afraid there'd be a lot of ppl. But thank God I ended up convincing myself otherwise. IT WAS SO WORTH IT. It's now a day later, & I'm still so hyped up just thinking about it. HOLY CRAP I SAW BEYONCE IN PERSON!!!!! xD
Mick & I got there around 7, an hour before the show was supposed to start. We knew it'd be packed, but we didn't bother to get there too early. Had a nice Japanese/Korean dinner near the CHUM-City building & walked to Dundas Square afterwards. As soon as we turned the corner of Dundas & Yonge, I was looking far ahead to see how many ppl there were, lol. Much to our surprise, it wasn't THAT crowded; we actually managed to find spots to stand in the square itself (I was most afraid that we'd have to stand across the road). We settled down, played a bit of Nintendo DS (oh I still have to blog about that...been lazy xD), & some people (of a certain race, which I'll leave out, lol) started to push around just to get further up. After some bitch fights & cussings, people chilled out. For a lil while, anyway...
Soon the hour went by, & the host from Entertainment Tonight Canada came on stage. Blah blah blah, everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to Beyonce...WHOOPIE. It was more than a week ago for crying out loud. =P
Finally, after all the bells & whistles, Beyonce came on stage. The experience was surreal. For the first few minutes, I was in a totaly daze, as my brain could not conceive the idea that Beyonce was standing just a hundred meters in front of me, singing "Deja Vu". When the reality settled, I was super duper hyped, screamed & sang till my voice went coarse. xD I was most excited when she started singing her old hits right after, especially "Naughty Girl", the one song that I was most hoping she'd sing. But to top it off, she followed it up with a medley of DC's hits, & the first song was, my all-time favourite, "Say My Name". My brain just snapped & I went crazy. xD
Another pleasant surprise was that she looked exceptionally hot. Her outfits were beautiful, & even for a free concert, she changed FOUR times!! All of which were very pleasing to the eyes...=D And her singing was good...when she sang live, that is. =P While not really lip-synching, she relied heavily on her backtrack so she can go "ooh" & "ahh" & "wo" here & there (a trademark of hers =P). But again, I was very impressed by the effort she put into this concert even though it was just at a public square. Talk about professionalism.
The one thing that kinda sucked though was the people who kept pushing & moving around throughout the show. They were rude, ignorant, & disrespectful. I just rolled my eyes at them while I think Mick was traumatized, lol. Once again, thank you for coming with me even though you don't even like Beyonce. You rock. =D
Didn't take much pictures, 'cause first of all, couldn't really see much even with my digital zoom maxed out. Second of all, I wanted to pay my full attention to Beyonce, & not trying desperately to get a fuzzy pic of her. Here's one that turned out "okay"...

Song list:
"Deja Vu"
"Baby Boy"
"Naughty Girl"
DC Medley ("Say My Name" + "Independent Women" + "Bootylicious" + "Survivor")
"Green Light"
"Dangerously In Love"
"Ring The Alarm"
"Irreplaceable"
"Crazy In Love"
She actually sang quite a few songs in the short period of an hour...sadly she didn't sing "Freakum Dress", my favourite song on her new album. But I must say after seeing her live, I'm liking "B'Day" a lot more. Have been listening to it non-stop since last night...;P I love you Beyonce!! xD
