Charmed
So, after falling in love with "Precious" (still have it on continuous replay), I've been officially converted to a
Yuna fan...<blushes> Not that I wasn't listening to her like crazy before (as K has taken note, she's only released 4 songs until this month & she's already in top 15 on my charts xP); it's just that I never really actively searched out her videos, live performances, magazine shoots, or what not. I should've known better when she first came out & I didn't hate her. That doesn't happen often with me & new artists...I am VERY neophobic if I might say (although this is more like hatred than fright =P). Anyway, right now I'm debating whether I should buy all her singles, since she's only got 3 so far. This is just in case if I become an even bigger fan later on (which I can totally see happening) & want to have a complete collection, it'll be more of a bitch to buy, say, 10 singles at one time. =P What to do...

P.S. Makes me glad that all this time I've downloaded every single one of her lives just for the heck of it (& for the fact that I liked the songs anyway)...at least I won't have to go & frantically seach for them now, hehe. ^^;

Be As One
That's it, I'm never going to a wedding without a date again...
...lol having said that, it really was great pleasure to see my cousin Vanessa getting married, & to such an amazing guy (he's in the army yo!! He protects our country, hahaha). As cliché as it sounds, I really felt that I was in the presence of true love while watching them. And surprisingly I had not even one hint of jealousy; it was pure admiration & joy. And no, I didn't cry...almost doesn't count. =P
The good thing is, I don't think I'm cynical about marriage anymore. Maybe some people ARE meant to spend the rest of their lives together (no I'm not implying anything, quit it =P). But the wedding reception?? No thanks. I could feel the chills going down my spine when I tried to picture myself doing the things that my cousin & her husband did in front of everybody. SO THAT'S A BIG FAT NO. Signing of the marriage license at City Hall would be good enough for me. Well, that & a big fancy dinner. =P
Congratulations again to the newly weds...like I've said many times, I wish you two a lifetime of happiness. And lots of (mixed!!) children for me to play with...;D
(And apparently I was supposed to catch the garter...lol nobody told me, so I just stood there & watched some other dude grab it. Meh, I can wait, I'm in no hurry to get married...xP)
P.S. KEITH WOULD YOU BE MY BEST MAN??

Night Vision
Ahhhhh I just saw one of
Ken's PV on Canadian national TV!! =O
So after a day of hardwork <rolls eyes>, I was getting ready to go to bed. But like always I refuse to sleep without doing a bit of channel-surfing first. And when I came across MuchMoreMusic, I saw something that looked familiar - it was a shot of a circus performer's hand in black & white, followed by a shot of his face. Right then & there I knew it was the PV of Ken's "LIFE is...~another story~" (just re-watched it not long ago on the "Utabaka" DVD =P), & I got super excited as I've never seen any JPop music videos on Canadian TV before...*o* Kinda wished it were Ayu but Ken is a close second!!
(What a pointless post I know, lol, but "LIFE is...~another story~" is one of my favourite Ken songs & it's got a meaningful PV, hehe. And I never knew MMM has such a show where they play music videos from other countries...I guess the fact that it's on at 2 in the morning doesn't help =P)

Fantastic Five
Let's talk about my favourite "F"'s, shall we??
Food
Having taken
Ayami's advice, I decided to celebrate this whole week in honour of my birthday. And what better way to celebrate it than to eat all my favourite foods?? So far, I've had the following: steak, asparagus, sushi, oysters, pizza from Ceo, lobster, angel hair...& last but not least, tacoyaki & modanyaki, which I bought for lunch today. And man do I love Japanese batter...xD The modanyaki though was so filling I was about to give up having eaten just three-quarters of it (yes, I suppose it was meant to be shared if NORMAL people were eating it...but not me the bottomless pit =P). But I thought, no way in hell am I gonna throw away the last bit, so I ate it anyway. Turns out, my stomach HAD more give. =P As for the tacoyaki, I saved them & had them just now as an afternoon snack. Wasn't gonna eat all 6 but they were so good I couldn't stop. Gah my love for tacoyaki, where do I even begin...<3
So, that leaves uni as the only favourite food of mine that I haven't had yet. Maybe this weekend. Gotta save the best for last...;)
Fun
After years of not playing Bomberman until last month at Claudia's, I forgot how good at it I used to be. In fact, after owning everyone at the game (haha YOU ALL SUCK), I came home, found the SNES rom, & played till 6 in the morning. xP The nostaglia for classic SNES games spread like wildfire, & before I knew it, I was playing MarioKart, Tokimeki Memorial (I know, shame xD), Super Adventure Island II, & the ever-so-kickass Chrono Trigger. I surprised myself by remembering so much from these games...& I finally saw how much time I've spent gaming during high school. How I even got into UofT is beyond me...lol.
Fashion
As most of you would know, I have quite a few jackets (alright that's an understatement but screw off =P). The obsession seems to have ceased a bit, but only 'cause it's been transferred onto something else - shoes. After having not bought a single pair of them in 3 years, I bought 3 new pairs in the past 9 months. xP And just when I thought that was the end, came bags. For some reason now I can't stop staring at other guys' bags. In fact a couple of weeks ago I saw the ultimate bag, the king of all "man purses", & it was one that I obviously cannot afford...<sigh> It was a Louis Vuitton, a MANLY one with hidden monograms. I seriously wanted to rip that bag off the guy & just run off with it...but that would make me a criminal, wouldn't it. Bah I guess I'll just have to wait till I'm a doctor (to buy it, not steal, lol). xP
Well, at least I DID get some other bag today. Thanks to a birthday present from Ness, I finally got myself a nice leather "man purse" from Mexx...FOR 10 DOLLARS. I could barely hide my joy when the cashier told me how much I had to pay. Man this week's just getting better & better...
Family & Friends
What can I say...YOU GUYS ROCK!! Thank you for making these few days so special for me...well, actually, for making EVERYDAY special for me (ahhh here comes the ugly sentimental side of me, so I'll stop). Right now though I'm most looking forward to Ness' wedding next Sat. It's gonna be a heck load of fun!! And I couldn't be happier if it were my own...=D
P.S. Yup, you got me, there's another favourite "F" of mine that's clearly missing. But let's just keep this entry PG-13...for now. =P

Frienger
My horoscope in the Metro today said:
"Some crazy opportunities will change your life."
You don't say. Although I must admit I kinda expected it...but it was still so great to have it happen for real. Not quite where I wanted to be, yet, but it's a start. I guess I really was asking for too much before...or was I??
...everything does happen for a reason.
Such a mixture of emotions...I feel proud, that I finally did it & shed the "vaginal chicken" title =P; I feel confused, not knowing exactly where this is gonna go; I feel worried, not knowing exactly HOW this is gonna go; & last but not least, I feel reaffirmed. Yes, this is what I've always wanted. It was no different from what I've played in my mind over & over again...if not better.
Other than that though, the day went pretty bad, lol.
- I sat on Foggy & it broke!! =(
- Easter chocolate egg "explosion" in my bag & it's now everywhere
- dirtied my favourite pair of jeans...& I don't even know how (possible chocolate egg transfer??)
- stuttered like no tomorrow during presentation (I blame the stupid protein names...& you xP)
1 more day of undergrad. Gahhh still can't believe it's about to be over...

4.02.2006

It's the beginning of April, which means my b-day will come up in just a lil bit more than 2 weeks. This is probably the least excited I've ever been...in fact I completely forgot it's coming up until a few weeks ago. =P I guess it's just 'cause there are so many other things on my mind right now, & that much of my future remains uncertain...but that doesn't mean I'm not looking forward to it. Right now I already have people asking me what I want, with Bons in particular doing me some real "personal shopping", lol (I love you for even attempting it, I really do). Ahhh what am I gonna do without my parents & my friends...
