More Than A Million Miles
As it turns out, there is now another path available for me to take...but the heart of the matter is, am I willing to give the existing one up when I've walked so far down the road?? Surprisingly, I'm leaning towards yes...
I guess I'm no longer a compulsive gambler. "Bet big, win big" just isn't for me anymore. "Bet right, win big" definitely sounds more comforting.

Drop Dead Gorgeous
To celebrate "ª÷ªK¼¤Ä^" entering its final week, I've made a new layout spotlighting the 4 leading ladies of the show. Really, this has been the best TVB series I've watched in a while, & I'm kinda upset that it's going to end soon. But at the same time, I can't wait to see what happens next. Everywhere I go, people are trying to tell me the ending. I almost had to go the distance of not reading the Chinese newspaper just to keep it unspoiled. =P Right now though I've reached the point of not caring who dies & who lives. They're all evil anyway. Or have been accomplice to some sort of evil behaviour. So pffft. <secretly hoping that ¥É¼ü will live>

RPM (Replays Per Minute)
Everyone (well, every Ayu fan I know) is debating whether "Moments" or "CAROLS" is the better song. I'm no different, currently trying to decide which one I like more...so let's have a face-off by examining the two based on a few criteria...
The music: Tough call. I'd say "Moments" edges out "CAROLS" slightly by being not as typical of a ballad. However, I must say "CAROLS" scores high points for having a bridge (& who doesn't love bridges??), something I've always considered missing in "Moments". Strings were also better utilized in "CAROLS", "Moments" doesn't have as much of it, & even when it does, it sounds mechanical. And is it really necessary to repeat the chorus THREE times at the end?? For the instrumental break though, "Moments" rules all. The electric guitar solo is just AWWW-some. =P Moments: 9; CAROLS: 8.5
The lyrics: No contest here, "Moments" has what I'd consider the best lyrics Ayu's written in years. "CAROLS" is just plain, typical, & almost sappy. And it really bugs me that she's gone the distance of writing such generic stuff as "shiroi yuki" (gee, I wonder where I've heard that before...); to the point, but WAAAY overdone. Let me just say one thing though before I finish: both songs have lyrics that don't seem too relevant to the titles (as opposed to like, "GAME")...why must Ayu always make us think?? M: 9.5; C: 8
The PV: Many think the PV of "CAROLS" is just boring, for me though, it's not so bad. It IS a bit bland, & I agree that they spent way too much screen time on the stage, when more should've been on the merry-go-round (although that did make the scenes a lil more special). "Moments" doesn't have the best PV either, but I gotta say it's still above-par. I especially love the scene where Ayu lies "bleeding" on the floor of feathers. So beautiful, & so powerful. The kids were a lil creepy though. And so was her thick, black eyeliner. M: 8.5; C: 7.5
The single cover: Now this is where "CAROLS" gets the upperhand...albeit being a clear rip-off of Celine Dion's perfume ad =P, its cover is still nicer than that of "Moments". "Moments" didn't have a bad one; she just chose the wrong picture!! There's another pic in the series (with her head slightly tilted to the side) that I think is much better than what we have now. And she really does look pregnant at first glance, until you realize that the "bulge" is just really her legs hidden under the dress...& the flowers were a lil too big, a lil too much, I think. M: 8; C: 9
The CM: It's not really fair to compare the two on this basis, but heck, being the CM freak that I am, why not?? =P Here I'd have to say that even though Ayu doesn't look as great in the Lumix CM (what the hell is she
wearing??), I'd give my vote to it. The song simply fits better, & it really doesn't sit well with me the fact that Ayu looks like she's having blood sucked out of her by a vampire in the Visee commercial. O_o Not to mention the CM version of "Moments" sounds terrible (I never thought I'd like the song when I heard THAT), while "CAROLS" really caught my attention upon first listen. And of course, the idea of a slim digital camera appealed a lot more to me than some eyelash-elongating mascara... M: 7.5; C: 8
Now's the time for the total. "Moments" gets a 42.5 outta 50, while "CAROLS" settles with a final score of 41 (wow I didn't think they'd be this close). It doesn't surprise me that "Moments" has turned out superior...'till this day I still love the song, & it's already been 6 months. I really doubt "CAROLS" would have the same effect on me half a year from now. But we'll see. In the mean time, I love both, & I simply can't wait to get my single!!

Evidentiary Support
Just for tonight. Just the front page. Just 'cause the season premiere was so friggin' good. Just 'cause it was so much better than that overhyped-but-turned-out-sucky
season 4 premiere. Just 'cause the original kicks the other two spin-offs in the butt (even though I also watch those). Just 'cause Catherine is still so hot & cool at the same time. Just 'cause Greg is now in the field. Just 'cause Nick looks so much better with his head shaved. Just 'cause even Sara is less ugly with that new hairdo. Just 'cause I missed everyone. Just 'cause I've waited 4 months for this. Just 'cause I love CSI.
EDIT: For those who missed it, this is what I did. I kinda wanted to keep it, but then I thought, if I were to make a layout outta CSI, I should at least use a better picture...

Crouching Tiger
"Forgive & forget"...whoever said that must've never had the experience of having salt poured onto your freshest cut or have it stare right at you in the face...
Spite, anger, frustration, jealousy, resentment...the list goes on, but no one word can describe exactly what I felt at that moment. I even felt belitted...& that was the one thing that I absolutely couldn't stand. You can take anything away from me, but you can't take away my self-worth. No one is to ever make me doubt myself. I can fall; but I won't let myself stay down.

Shhh...Just Listen
Even a net friend who doesn't know me in person can tell me that I deserve better; that, I should be the last person to feel "unwanted". Then why am I so blind?? Or better yet, when am I gonna stop pretending that I am??
Can't do this anymore. What am I waiting for??
There's something that I still can't let go...but as it turns out, it's not what I thought it was. It's not you that I can't leave behind...it's the IDEA of you.

"The Stars Don't Lie"
This is what it said in my horoscope, from the subway newspaper today:
"Even though life might seem to be getting more complicated, you should also know that you're looking marvelous to somebody you like a lot."
Really?? It seems to have worked both ways. =P

Midnight Rumble
It's 2 in the morning, & considering that I'm not feeling so well, I went to bed 2 hours ago & should've been asleep by now. But no, thanks to some stupid people, I'm still wide awake...
Just as I was dozing off, I started hearing noises coming from outside of my house. It sounded like crying, but I wasn't sure. After all, it's so late at night, who the hell would be outside (keep in mind I live in the middle of nowhere, literally right across a farm) in the first place?? But as the noises persisted, I realized that someone was really out there. At first I thought it was a child; the tone of that voice sounded that way. As the crying went on though, I finally figured it was not a child, but a girl. And she was not alone; a guy was with her. Now here comes the good part: for some reason, despite the fact that I've moved so far away from Scarlem, these two were Chinese!! So I could hear & understand every single thing that they said. From what I gathered, these two were probably lovers in a fight. My best guess is the guy cheated on her or something. There was a lot of bitterness involved & the girl sure wanted the guy dead. In the beginning I stayed in my bed, thinking that they would go away soon. But as they went on arguing & having more of their retarded conversation, I had to do something. I got up, unlocked the balcony door, dashed right out, & was ready to do some bitchin'. It was then that I finally saw what was going on - no, those two weren't right outside my house, they were at the end of the street, where the cargo tank filled with garbage was. The girl, somehow, made her way on top (that's right, she was sitting IN the garbage mountain), & the guy was begging her to come down. By then I no longer wanted to scream at them; it was just too funny!! xP So I stood there & watched, as they were too busy with their own drama to notice me. After a few more minutes of tug-of-war (& more yelling & crying), she finally decided to come down. But she couldn't; she was simply too high up from the ground to not land without breaking a bone or two (which makes me wonder: how did she get up there in the first place??). So the guy, being the "gentleman" that he was, drove his car to the end of the tank so she could step on it instead. At least one of them has a brain. It worked, & about 5 minutes ago, they left. I thought they never would.
You know, I should've exploded. I should've told them to fuck off. I should've told them that if they wanted to fight, fight somewhere else. I should've told them that if they don't have a watch, maybe the quiet, uninhabited streets would give them an idea of how late it is. I should've secretly hoped that the girl would fall flat on her face when she came down the pile of garbage. Oh wait, that I did. AHHHHH!!!!!

Spot The Differences!
Everyone seems to love the picture of Osaka I have up there, & I must say I do too, or else I wouldn't have chosen it to headline my blog. Well, in case you're curious,
this is what the place looks like now, 3 years later. The photo's taken by a friend of mine, who just went to Japan this summer. She's got her own photo blog now too (very nice pictures...& much fancier layout than mine, lol), so make sure you check it out. =)
